click here to enlarge imageIT'S A GIRL!Tammy and her husband Chris McHattie welcomed the birth of their daughter on 7th April 2008.After almost 12 hours of drug free labour Rebecca Elizabeth arrived weighing in at 3.2kg. Tammy had a natural birth and said that all her marathon swimming expriences had prepared her well for the pain of childbirth. Rebecca is a happy & healthy baby and as expected, loves the water!With her doctors approval, Tammy swam throughout her pregnancy and estimates that she covered almost 500 kilometres during that time.Chris and Tammy are ecstatic about the new arrival and both are loving being new parents. Tammy is currently taking some time out to enjoy motherhood but plans to continue her marathon challenges. Welcome to the website of Australia's most renowned marathon swimmer 
Most people fly around the world, some board a ship, but Tammy van Wisse has done it the hard way: by swimming 1 ½ times round the world.
