Match weekends for the 2008-2009 South West Korfball League have now been decided and will shortly be with every club's fixtures secretary. Finalised fixtures will hopefully be on the interweb shortly but, as a sneak preview, the first weekend is the 18th/19th October.Enjoy the rest of the summer! (updated 18/08/08).The weekend of the 19th/20th July saw the National County Championships being held in Moseley. All four SWKA Counties entered a team, the best representation the area has had, I believe. Reports will hopefully soon be trickling through to the Counties pages, but I'm sure I'm allowed to tell you that (I think) Somerset finished 20th, Devon came 17th, Gloucestershire 16th and Avon were 14th. Apologies if I've got that wrong. Well done to all who played, I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. (updated 21/07/08).
Squads for the 2008 National County Championships have been selected. Avon, Devon, Gloucestershire and Somerset are all sending teams, and squad lists can be found via the Counties page. Hopefully results and reports will also be added after the event. Good luck to everyone involved (updated 15/07/08).Attentions must be drawn to a couple of websites that may be of use to you. There's the Korfball Forums which (with a big health warning) can provide a fest of info on what's going on in korfball in both the UK and around the globe. However, you do have to weed through the belly-aching whining and essays that people in the UK particularly feel they need to scribe (Worth checking out just to see what some people get up to in the wee small hours of the morning!). The other is Korfball TV which shows some cracking play from the top level. Check them out.
