Pond Hockey Flyer Pond Hockey Poster Liability waiver and registration form Hockey 101 Program A reminder to all in house parents that MAHA will be starting it's "Hockey 101" education program on Wednesday the 22nd of October. Five sessions will be put on throughout the season to help new parents get familiar with various aspects of the game of hockey, and MAHA in particular. The schedule is as follows: October 22nd - Seasonal expectations, fitting equipment, important dates, etc. 5:30-6:30 in the ASA Upper Lounge November 1st - Meet and Greet with the MAHA Board of Directors. Takes place during the team's on ice sessions in the upper lounge of ASA. December 6th - Hockey skills. What your kids are learning and why. These sessions will take place in the upper lounge at ASA during your on ice times. January 7th - The MAHA Experience. What you can expect from MAHA during your years, and perhaps what might be expected from you and your child. 5:45-6:45 in the Upper Lounge of ASA. February 28th - So now what? Tournament Spotlight - Thank You!! After three straight weekends, and five total tournaments, let's take a second to take a breath and thank those who put in countless hours to make the first three tournaments a gigantic success. The tournament committee of Traci Hays, Jackie Campbell, Lori Allan, Jen Seiberg, and April Austin combined to have at least one member at the rink for every single game over the three weekends.....many times there were at least three there. A HUGE thank you to those ladies for all the work. Also, a large thank you must go out to the Team Tournament Directors for the tournaments. These are volunteers from each team who are in charge of making sure the game workers are accounted for, and take care of any minor issues that come up. These TTD's to be recognized are: Bantam B - Jim LIndquist  Peewee B1/B - Paul Bloemke, Gail McKissick, Brenda Lundberg, Kristin Berglin, Julie Claude, Jackie Willrett Bantam A - DJ Johnson  Peewee A - Barb Mettler and Ann Weber And lastly....thanks to all Mankato East parents who filled in on Saturday so members of the West football team could attend the game at the dome. Bantam C Team takes Championship Trophy in Fairmont Dsc03961_large  The Bantam C team under the direction of coaches Tom Gibbons, Justin Nash, and Ryan Gunderson took home the Championship trophy at the round robin Bantam C tournament in Fairmont over the past weekend.  The boys won their first game against Sioux Falls 3-1, with great goaltending by Dustin Shank.  During the afternoon victory against Sioux City 9-1, Brent Adams had a hat trick while Jadde Williams contributed with 5 assists.  The boys lost their last game 3-2 in sudden death overtime to Ames, IA, after having tied the game with 11 seconds left in regulation.  Congratulations players and coaches on an awesome performance!!!
