 If you’re planning on coming to the 2008 Minnesota Horse Expo,here are a few things you should know.Welcome! The Minnesota Horse Expo is a not-for-profit event sponsored by the Minnesota Horse Council and the 2008 Horse Expo is our 26th. We are proud to say that over 50,000 people attended the 2007 Horse Expo. Funds generated by the Expo are used by the Council to support the Horse Industry in our state through scholarships, grants, direct funding and trail improvements to name a few. Over the years, over three million dollars has been raised at this event primarily through the efforts of volunteers. Last year’s Minnesota Horse Expo check to the Horse Council totaled $250,000. Expo Hours: Friday & Saturday: 8:30am-9:30pm, Sunday: 8:30am-5:00pm

Daily Expo Admission: Free ages 5 and under; $8 s (13-61);
$5 Seniors (62+) and Youth (6-12)(Car parking is free in Fairground parking lots)
PRCA Rodeo admission ranges from $4 to $9 depending on section plus daily Horse Expo admission. Rodeo performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm, Sunday at 3:00pm Tickets will be sold at the Expo at the Coliseum ticket booths.
All dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet in length and under control at all times.No dogs are allowed in the Coliseum or Horse Barn.
Motorhome camping will be available for Expo 2008 as usual but there will be no advance payment as in the past. It is pay when you enter, no earlier than Wednesday, April 23. Parking will be first come, first serve basis. The fee is $25.00 for the weekend.
The Minnesota Horse Expo is a combination of speakers, vendors, horses and more. It’s purpose is to educate. Whether you own horses or not, there is a wealth of information available at Expo by simply walking around and observing, by asking questions of the horse owners and vendors, or by attending the many lectures and demonstrations. The Expo slate of presenters and list of vendors vary every year and are not particular to one riding style or breed. The lectures, demonstrations, presentations, vendor areas, horse barn, horse rides, childrens area, horse shoe pitching, and carriage rides are all included in the Expo admission.
A free printed event program with schedule, speaker information, vendor location lists is available inside the gate to everyone attending the Horse Expo. The presentation schedule and vendor locations will also be posted on our web site around mid-March.
The 4-H Tack and Clothing Sale at the Expo is managed by the MN 4-H Horse Association. They accept consignments from the public. For more information about obtaining item tags ahead of time or item drop-off and pick-up times and consignment fees visit www.mn4hhorse.com.
