What is The Soap Box Derby?
A youth racing program for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17. This is a unique program that encourages close -youth activities while building and racing their gravity powdered car together. The youth are encouraged to do as much of the work as their ability will permit. Spending quality time together and having fun is the most important!
Our Goal:The Huntersville Soap Box Derby Chapter’s goal is to promote families working together, to have fun, and to teach youngsters some of the basic skills of workmanship, as well as the importance of sportsmanship, commitment, and the perseverance to continue a project to completion.

Kids of all ages come to race. If you are 8 to 17, come and experience the “Trill of the Hill”. It’s great family fun for thewhole family.

The Huntersville Chapter also sent 4 Rally Champs to Akron to compete in Akron.They are : Calvin Blubaugh & Tanner Rutherford - Super Stock Rally Champs, and Dub Myers & “Baby” Evitt - Masters Rally Champs .
