Auberlen, Hand join BMW, Rahal Letterman
 BRASELTON,
Georgia (November 17, 2008) — For its
return to the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series in 2009, BMW of North
America signed Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand as its first two drivers for BMW
Rahal Letterman Racing Team's new BMW M3. In choosing Auberlen and Hand, BMW
of North America has picked two of the most successful BMW drivers in the
world and two of the most familiar names to M3 racing fans in North America.
The two-car entry is set to debut at the 57th Mobil1 Twelve Hours of Sebring
in March.

BRASELTON, Georgia
(November 12, 2008) — To be sure, the 2008
American Le Mans Series was a season to remember for Farnbacher Loles
Racing's Dirk Werner. The 27-year-old German was the lead driver for the
team's first full season with a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in GT2, the deepest
class in the Series.

BRITAIN (November 5, 2008) — RML’s LMP2 sports prototype programme has
been one of the most successful of the last five years, with back-to-back
victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours, and the class title in the Le Mans Series
in 2007. Co-drivers Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos have established an
excellent reputation as the driving line-up to beat in LMP2, especially at
Le Mans, and for seven years the team has championed the motorsport heritage

Great Britain (October 27, 2008) – The millions of A1GP World Cup of
Motorsport fans who follow the fortunes of the series on their TV screens
will have two new personalities to watch and listen to in Season Four. The
series will have Diana Binks and James Hinchcliffe as its world feed pit
lane reporters, working alongside its regular, vastly experienced commentary
team of John Watson and Ben Edwards.

than half of the planned 2009 SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championships
schedule. The 2009 season will return to many familiar fan favorites and is
framed by a season opener at Sebring International Raceway and finale at
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

 MONTREAL,
Quebec (November 7, 2008)— Kuno Wittmer had a pretty busy racing
calendar and a mostly winning one, ending the season with both third places
in the final standings in the SCCA World Challenge and Grand Am Koni
Challenge series. Clearly the best results ever achieved by a Quebec driver
in both touring series. At the Quebec Motorsports Federation season ending
gala evening, Wittmer was awarded the Bertrand-Fabi Memorial Trophy,
acknowledging his accomplishment on the international scene. In 2008, the 26
year-old driver entered 32 events, won 6 outright and had no less than 24
Top 10. He also entered a few events in the Canadian Castrol Championship
and earned two wins by the same token.

MONTEREY, California (October 19, 2008) — Marco Werner and Lucas Luhr
ended their championship season in fitting style Saturday with an overall
victory for Audi Sport North America in the Monterey Sports Car
Championships presented by Patrón. Werner passed Emanuele Pirro on a restart
with 26 minutes left and won by 1.941 seconds at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

 VANCOUVER,
Canada (October 20, 2008) – A fuel pump failure robbed Vancouver’s
Taylor Hacquard of a fourth consecutive top-ten finish as Round 12 of the
2008 Star Mazda Championship Presented by Goodyear, the season finale,
played out at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Saturday, 18th October.
Hacquard’s retirement, just two laps shy of the checkered flag, marred what
had otherwise been a stellar weekend for the 18-year-old rookie, capped by
his second straight top-ten qualifying performance and second highest of the
year.

The 2008 Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda
season ended little more than a month ago, but many 2008 Atlantic
competitors have been busy in a number of different ways since the season
ended.
Last week, reigning Atlantic champion Markus Niemela was joined by 2008
Atlantic teammates Carl Skerlong and Frankie Muniz at the world famous SEMA
Show in Las Vegas. The trio of drivers participated in autograph sessions at
the Cooper Tire display.

Atlanta-area businessman Ben Johnston has purchased Atlantic Racing Series,

memory. One of them is certainly Lotus MK IV 79, which was very successful
and even very nice – see picture no 1. At once at the beginning all experts
called it “black beauty”, which really
 suits it. This car was the other
developed type with ground effect as type 78 before according to genius
