Who I am ?My name is Irène Dimwaogdo TIENDREBEOGO, it means "Think about tomorrow".I am high jumper woman from Burkina Faso ( African western country )I was born in 1977, in February the 27th, in Ouagadougou.I started High Jump in 1993 when my professor of physical training in my school sent me to the stadium to make a trial in this event, and 2 years later I went to Goteborg in Sweeden for my first World Championships. I did my record 1m 80. In 96, for the Olympics Games in Atlanta, I didn't manage to go in Final.In 97 I was injured and I failed the qualification during the World Championships in Athens but I broke my record earlier in the season : 1 m 85.In september 97 I moved to Monaco and joined my present coach Elio Locatelli.I practice with Cheikh Touré (Long Jump).In 98 my personal record was 1 m 90 and I won the French Indoor Championships for my team A.S. Monaco.In January 99, I did a minor operation for my patellar's tendon of my take off's leg.I would like to thank my surgeon , Pr. Imbert in Saint Etienne (France).The 1st of August 99, I won the French Outdoor Championships for my team breaking my own record : 1 m 94 Despite my injury on my take off leg's knee , I jumped 1 m 89 during the qualification of the World Championships in Sevilla. I missed 1 m 92 to allow me to go in final.Qui suis je ?Mon nom est Irène Dimwaogdo TIENDREBEOGO, il signifie "Pense à demain". Je suis une sauteuse en hauteur féminine du Burkina Faso ( pays de l'afrique de l' ouest ) Je suis née le 27 Février 1977 à Ouagadougou.J'ai commencé la Hauteur en 1993 quand mon professeur d'éducation physique à l'école m'envoya au stade pour faire un test dans cette dicipline, et 2 ans plus tard je suis allé à Goteborg in Suède pour mes premiers championnats du Monde. J'ai réalisé mon record à 1 m 80.En 96, pour les Jeux Olympiques à Atlanta , je n'ai pas réussi a aller en final.En 97 j'étais blessé et j'ai échoué en qualification durant les Championnats du Monde à Athène mais t^ot dans la saison , j'ai battu mon record : 1 m 85.En septembre 97 je me suis installé à Monaco et rejoint mon entraineur actuel Mr Elio Locatelli.Je m'entraine avecCheikh Touré ( Saut en longueur )En 98 mon record était de 1 m 90 et j'ai remporté les championnats de France en salle pour mon club l' A. S. Monaco.En Janvier 99, j'ai subi une petite opération du tendon rotulien de ma jambe d'appel.Je voudrai remercier mon chirurgien, le Professeur Imbert à Saint Etienne (France).Le 1er Aout 99, je gagnais le concourt des championnats de France extérieur pour mon club en améliorant mon record à 1 m 94.Malgré une blessure au genoux de ma jambe d'appel , j'ai sauté 1 m 89 en qualification aux 7ème championnats du monde à Séville le 27 Aout , manquant de peu 1 m 92 me permettant de participer à la finale.
