Their Support Helps to cover the Leagues Running Costs
The draws for the Second rounds of the Front Pin Cups as well as third round of the Stroud News and Journal Cup and Ladies Margaret Jennings Memorial Trophy are now available on line. Game MUST be played by 9th January 2009, so please remeber to arrange your fixture.
Due to problems with the hosting server the Website Poll has changed slightly as it has moved to a new hosting company. Please take the opportunity to cast your vote on the question for today.
You can now check out your League fixtures on line, the Stroud and District Skittle League Website now has an on-line Fixture List for every team, which can be printed off. To access the list simply select your team from the League Table or Team Numbers. Thanks goes to Pete stump for his assistance in setting up these files, it is planned to add a few more features at a later date.
Would Home teams please note that in the case of a game being cancelled a new date MUST be set within 28 days of cancellation, and communicated the the sections Result Secretary or League Secretary. Two dates MUST be offered to the opposing team of which one MUST be accepted. Please note this does not mean the game must be played within 28 days but a new date agreed.
Brian Fream has obtained a stock of both 5" and 4 7/8" Lignium Vitae Skittle Balls for the start of the new season. These are available at a cost of £140 per set. I am alays happy to receive Feedback or comments, good or bad regarding the League, and can be contacted in many ways; by email at stroudskittles@aol.com, or using the Website Feedback Form; the new League Message board, which can be found by CLICKING HERE,; telephone, or by post. I find however that most feedback comes back second or third hand and rather than constructive comments often lacks any real detail. If team members have any concerns issues or comments I would therefore invite them to contact me directly, or via the Message Board and I will endeavour to answer your comments.

The League are looking for any unused Result or Cancellation Cards from Last Season. If you have any left over please don't throw them away, return them to the Secretary as they plan to reuse them.
Do you have a Team Picture you would like to see on the website? There are a number of pictures in the Photo Gallery, but I would like some more. If you have a picture and can email the image file I can then publish your teams picture. Unfortunately I cannot publish pictures taken by Freelance Photos at the Presentation Evening. See what teams have their photographs on this site.
Guideposts Trusts, a charitable organisation, which helps people with learning disabilities find friends so that they can enjoy similar interests together have contacted the league. They run a friendship scheme are are looking for volunteers who may be willing to help them, so that others can enjoy the sport we love. If you are interested please contact Ian Parker on 01452 410101 or e-mail ian.parker@guideposts-glos.org who will be glad to give you more information. Forms such as additional Result Cards, Cancellation Cards and Late Signing On are available from this site. Please visit the Download page for Details. Late Signing on of players can also be carried out via the website. There is also an On-Line Cancellation Form which can now be used if you need to cancel a fixture. Results can be emailed in advance to keep the League Results and Tables on the Website up to date. Scorecards MUST still be completed and sent to the Fixture Secretary. Please visit the Email Results form for details.
