Welcome to the IRON WOOD THROWER DEVELOPMENT CAMP website. Now in our 20th year, we have established ourselves as the largest specialty track and field camp in the USA, focusing on instruction in discus, shot put, javelin and hammer. We are proud to have hosted many former Olympic athletes, and several top-ranked collegiate and high school coaches on our instructional staff. Camp participants have an exciting opportunity to work directly with experts in each individual event.
Our throwing camp is held on the gorgeous 200-acre campus of Whitworth College in Spokane, WA. Our camp curriculum is designed to accommodate all levels of experience. Whether the campers are just beginning their throwing careers, entering their final year of competition, or competing as master throwers, we can help them to achieve a higher level of success. Our coaching staff has a proven record of helping young throwers improve and excel.
