October 10th - 16th
2008 was a record year. A new harbour record
has been set by Anders Bringdal with a speed of 38.56 knots and the majority of
competitors on the course exceeded 30 knots. During the week wind speeds reached 30
- 35 knots on several occasions.
The Race-Trax GPS timing system was trialled
in the extreme conditions and appeared to perform excellently.
