Link to FILA Calendar 2007 Rulebook and Guide to International Wrestling (Published by FILA) AVAILABLE in PDF! Attention FILA Candidates! FILA has an age reqyirement. The minimum age to enter FILA is 18 years. The maximum age to enter is 40 years. 60 years is the retirement age from FILA. All FILA Mat Officials MUST HAVE PROOF OF THEIR AGE AT THE TIME OF THE FILA COMPETITION CLINIC. Drivers License, Passport, or Birth Certificate are acceptable IDs. Requirements for upgrade and which category mat official may officiate where. The following changes to our Mat Policies and Procedures were approved at the next General Membership meeting in Fargo. 1. To be promoted to Category M2, mat officials must be at least 17 years old during the USWOA Membership Year and their high school class must have graduated. 2. 17 year old officials still in high school will not be allowed to officiate at the University Nationals, Junior FILA World Team Trials, Junior National Duals, Cadet National Duals and the Olympic Regional Trials. They may still officiate at the Schoolboy/Girl National Duals, Kids/Cadets Regionals and the Junior Regionals if it is necessary for the conduct of the event. 3. A Category M3 official may officiate at the Cadet/Junior Nationals if they are 17 or more years old, their high school class has graduated, have been a USWOA member for 2 or more years and are eligible for promotion to Category M2. This means they have worked a USAW regional or national championship event and are familiar with mat procedures. They must also be recommended by their State Chairman or State Officials Director. 2009 Membership Renewal If you were a member in 2008, do not create a new record. Your profile will already be in the USA Wrestling membership site. Click on the "here" with "you do not remember your password" and it will be emailed to you in a matter of minutes. FILA dues and options will be on the "extras" page. FILA dues need to be paid by October 1st. Only current FILA members are able to renew on line. http://www.themat.com/membership/ All members 18 and over must have a background check. Once you have paid for your membership renewal it will say click "here" to begin your BackGround check. If you do not see that, go to your profile and choose BackGround check history (red at the top) and it will have a "click on here if you want to begin your BG check". It will link you to TC LogiQ. You will need to read the screens. There are 11 screens to view for what you will be filling in. Continue to click "NEXT" at the bottom until you no longer can. Disregard anything in the upper half of the screen that looks like a link until you have clicked the final "NEXT" button at the bottom of the screen. Create a NEW ACCOUNT, you do not already have an account with TC LogiQ. You will be mailed your stamp and control card when you have been cleared.
